Festival Wrap

Fest2012 HolCel

The Football United Festival 2012 saw five different schools take home the five trophies on offer, with Holroyd High School winning the John Hirshman Trophy and Airds High School securing the inaugural Alan Hodgkinson Fair Play Trophy.

Parliamentary Award

ABB acceptance

The Sports Advocacy Group Australia held an amazing gala evening in Canberra to recognise the contribution and acheivements of groups and individuals across the sports sector. A fantastic event was concluded with Football United being awarded the prestigious  Parliamentary Community Sports Award.


Active Awards

Football United - UniSA has won the OPAL Award by the City of Playford for 'supporting children and families to be active'. The honour was awarded to us for making significant changes and/or developing initiatives that support children and families to be more active. Excellent news in the first year of the program!

Playing for Change


UNSW Chancellor, Mr David Gonski AC and the Hon. Victor Dominello MP joined Anne Bunde-Birouste, Sally Nathan and a whole bunch Football United participants, supporters and friends to launch Playing for Change: Improving People's Lives through Football.

Challenge Camp 2012

Football United traveled over to the beautiful surrondings of the Sydney Academy of Sport in Narrabeen to Challenge ourselves in the art of leadership, football, psychology and art. An incredibly full schedule meant participants were afforded to lots of new opportunities, as we challenged ourselves every step of the journey.
